BY MAY 7TH, 2025
📅 Date: 14.05.2025
⏰ Time: 09:00 – 11:30 (Lunch at 11:30)
📍 Location: University of Vaasa, Tervahovi, D102, Wolffintie 34, Vaasa
The workshop will introduce the KvarkenData Portal, an open-access platform offering valuable environmental datasets from the region. You’ll also get insights into Aurora Botnia’s propulsion modeling and learn how vessel and environmental data are being used in practice. On top of that, we’ll present advanced deep learning applications—like segmenting sea ice types from webcam imagery captured aboard the vessel.
This is a unique chance to connect with researchers, industry professionals, and innovators working at the intersection of maritime operations and environmental monitoring. Whether you’re looking to collaborate, learn, or lead, the Kvarken region is full of opportunity—and it starts here.
